Bitcoin Breaks $30,000 Level, Falls 2.7%

(Bloomberg) -- Bitcoin fell below $30,000 and weakened 2.7%.

  • Trading volume was $980.7 million in the past 24 hours, or 86% of the 20-day average, according to data monitored by Mosaic

  • Prices fluctuated 3.7% since 5 p.m. New York time, trading between $29,942 and $31,053

  • Bitcoin is now 54% below the high of $64,870 reached on April 14 and has strengthened 3.3% so far this year
