MGM Wants 401(k) Fee Suit Paused While Supreme Court Deliberates

A lawsuit challenging the fees associated with MGM Resorts International’s $1.6 billion 401(k) plan should be paused while the U.S. Supreme Court weighs a similar case against Northwestern University, the entertainment company told a federal judge in Nevada.

The Supreme Court in Hughes v. Northwestern University will address “issues identical to the claims Plaintiffs assert here, and the defenses raised in Defendants’ motion to dismiss,” MGM said in a July 30 motion to stay.
